Dr, welcome to the site. Polishing the case's is not that hard to do, but it all depend's on how long you want to take. I've read allot about people using fine sand paper to start with the rough stuff, and progressivly getting finer & finer. Then using a polishing wheel for that really buffed shine. A guy here named Pump's did a fantastic job on his, so you might send him a P.M. You can look at his bike's in the gallery.,,,Gordo PS, there might be some info in the vault.

I found a buffing whel and some polish is a step near the final. I just got a little kit with an arbor and an extra buffing whel, put it in a drill and mounted the drill in a vice.

If its small peices like carb bowls ect. Ive gone through many tubes of autosol and a rag and finger action. Its amazing what you can polish sitting in front of the tv.
