Howdy,
This is Dave from Scootworks in NC. We're rebuilding a XS650 for a customer here, and he wanted Kuryakyn footpegs. Kury doesn't manufacture a peg adapter for their pegs to fit the XS-650. While I'm sure some of you may have modified mounts for this application, we designed a peg adapter and manufactured them in our CNC shop for the XS-650 to allow direct fitment of Kuryakyn and similar pegs to this bike.
Is there any interest from XS-650 owners for such a part? I wanted to get a feel for any interest before I had the guys make a batch.
Thanks,
Dave

A pic of the footpeg adapters. They have an adjustable stop screw to raise/lower the peg. |

Would thes go on the location of the stock driver peg? Do you have a pic of one instaled? I don't see how they go.
Doess anyone have aftermarket pegs mounted with pics? I dont see how the repacements are instaled.
www.jcwhitney.com/FOLD...002578;0;0 How would you intall something like this to the driver peg bracket? I am curious I don't plan on purchgasing these I do like the Kuryakan better.

Yep, they fit into the location of the stock driver peg, and allow for the installation of Kuryakyn or Scootworks pegs. The painter is buffing out the paint in our paint shop this evening, I'll snap a pic of the assembly as installed on the bike and post it here when he's finished.

Hi Dave,
I have an off topic question.
You guys used to make 20-21mm width pulleys that fit vulcan 800's and marauders right.
I'd like to buy a pulley that runs a 14mm belt but is 4.25" or so diameter with the vulcan/marauder spline. If not, an 8mm belt with that diameter should work.
For years I have been trying to get over there from charlotte and have yet to make it.
Thanks.
Cool.
Srinath.

orning,
I probably already have something like you need on the shelf, as we manufacture that in 14mm now, and still have some old 8mm stock. Shoot me a note at support @ scootworks . com and let's talk.
Dave

Soreee no emailee from workeee ... something about Billions of dollars stolen from banks via email ... yea ... But blogs, websites, forums (plural of forum is Fora FWIW) and porn are all safe from theft apparently.
Anyway, 14mm is fine too but it has to be under 4 1/4-4 1/2 dia and have the marauder/vulcan 800 spline. I will measure exactly, but 4.9 was the samllest 14 I could get and it was way too large for my use.
I will email you tonight though and get a measurement to be extra safe.
Thanks.
Cool.
Srinath.

We manufacture a 8mm pitch pulley with the Vulcan/Marauder spline pattern on a hardened A2 tool steel core insert that will accept up to a 30mm wide belt and is 4" in dia at the flange. It has a flange on both sides.
We also manufacture a 14mm pitch pulley with the Vulcan/Marauder spline pattern on a hardened A2 tool steel core insert that will accept up to a 28.5mm wide belt and is 4-3/8"" in dia at the flange. It has a single flange on the side facing outward in a typical installation.

4 and 3/8th or 4 inch should work well. By up to you mean narrower than right ?
I will get back with you by tonight. But have a price for em. Thanks.
Cool.

Dave are you still going to put up a picture of one installed on an XS?

Those pictured pegs go on the engine crash bar if one is installed. They are cruiser type pegs to allow you to put your feet up. I have the crash bar with a set of those on it. Gonna sell along with the luggage rack I also took off.

Ohh ok that I could see, I just couldn't see how the jcwh.. pegs would go in stock location. If one wanted to change the stock pegs I'd guess you have to drill out the rivet and get something like a clevis end peg?
