Just gauging the interest in a Girder front end that will be up for sale very soon.

Its at a machine shop right now having the neck replaced with an XS650 neck so that you can use XS650 steering bearing and will be a straight bolt on to any year XS650.

here are some pics of the Girders before I sent them away to be modified:



They were going to be mounted on my XS hardtail project but Ive decided to go a different direction...

Let me know what you think they are worth...Located in Toronto ON.

I'll post detailed pics as soon as I get them back from the shop

what front wheel do you have to use and what kind of price you looking at getting??

I was just going to use a stock XS1 drum brake front wheel.
I was thinking about $500ish + shipping.
Its costing me $240+ to have the upper and lower tripples machine out then to weld an xs650 neck to the bottom tripple to fit the xs650 head.

Hey guys.. I just recieved some preliminary pics back...

here is the xs650 donor bottom tripple that the neck was extracted from:


Here is the bottom tripple from the Girder that was machined out to fit the xs650 neck then rewelded underneath.


Here are the forks reassembled with the xs650 neck:


The lengths of the forks are approx 38 inches from top tripple clam to the middle of the axle bolt, with out any load.

Im suppose to get the forks back today so I'll post up some more detailed pictures

Oh..yeah.. the forks are located in Toronto











Just look at that piece of art.. I dont know anyone in the TO area that has girders on an XS...
