Electrical Help - OH

Anyone in the central Ohio area available for a tutorial on how to wire a 1975 XS650? I have decided not to sell the bike and would like to get it up and running, but I have the wiring harness mounted and then still need to wire up all the controls, motor, etc.

I cannot do it just by the wiring diagram as I don't know what half these parts look like. Something with pictures or another bike to look at would be great, but I don't really have room to store one.

Or, are there any better electrical references out there that include more pictures. When it comes to electrical componentry I am lost.

Btw, this is my first motorcycle work of any kind. I am more of an automobile kind of mechanic and this motorcycle stuff has me baffled. But, I want to learn.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try the WWW icon at the bottom of this/my post .. I have lots of pictures there, some electrical. Pictures are from a 1978 650 Special ... might help. Good luck... best I can do.
