Hello,
Can this seal be replaced with the engine in the bike, and without disassembly of the rocker box from the head?
Thanks
Dave

Would you put some 3 bond on the seal during reassembly? I think this might lubricate the seal enough to slip it in? God that sounded horrible didn't it! LOL
Thanks Dave

Had a stubborn cam seal on mine a few years ago.......even a new seal and it liked to leak a bit..........used a larger stiffer spring from a fork seal bending the ends out and hooking the ends together and making it the same size.......never leaked again..........

islanddave;
I used 3 bond 1104 on the oil seal when I installed it into the camshaft housing. It worked well for me, no leaks! You can see some 3 bond in the picture.

Thanks guys...................I completely forgot how that seal goes in, as its been about 4 years since I did the rebuild. I was confusing the camshaft seal with the lower end oil seals. Thanks for the assembly picture retiredgentleman! I forgot that it went into a housing that attatches to the head.
