skull -- no doubt it works but remembering the changes in the ON, OFF, PR, RES positions on the lever may be a bit confusing for some. And think of the next poor slob who buys that bike! He won't know whether to sh*t or wind his watch!

A link for another way to convert the existing ones to manual. Web Page Name Have not tried this.
Have some faith Jimmythetrucker, If i am prepared to explain it to you then If and when i sell my bike, it would be quite a simple and easy thing to tell and show the buyer how to use the petcocks.

I once demonstrated to a farmer how to start his John Deere model 70-D 14 times in one afternoon. I stood by and watched while he started it by himself six times in a row. Next day, I got called out to his place again because he couldn't remember how to start it. Two days later, I drove the truck out to his place again. This time I started the old tractor up, loaded it on the trailer, and hauled it back to the shop. He'd traded it off on another unit because he still couldn't learn to start it. An' guess what! He was an electrical engineer.
