brake shoes part # are all the same from the 70 and the spokes have a 256 part # thru 76 model & spoked hub thru 80 has 256 # , so I think all the 18" spoked will interchange, 81SH is the only mag wheel (16") with a drum brake

The TX750 rear wheel will swap right in as well. It has a slightly bigger hub and brake so it stops a bit better.

No they are 18's but you could lace the special 2 rim to that hub?The Heritage rims won't work? 2x's the spoke count.

Ah forgot about the bilzillion spoke thingee, well lots of after market rims out there, rim size and spoke count is all that matters really

What do you mean heritage rims won't work? If I find a spoke heritage wheel, it won't fit my '75 swing arm? or did you mean can't lace heritage rim to standard hub? I have to say after inquiring from bucannon spoke on what it would cost, there is no way I'd pay that! out outrageous prices. My back wheel would be worth more than the whole bike! Hahaha

Irish, the XS750 and Special II hubs and rims have 36 spokes. The Heritage hubs and rim have 48. So you could mate a 750 hub to the Special II rim or the Special II hub to the 750 rim. But you couldn't mate them to the Heritage hubs or rims because of the difference in the amount of spokes. You could take any of the above as whole wheel units and they would bolt up to your swingarm.

Bingo, I want to swap out my 18" wheel on my '75 with a 16" spoke wheel. I don't care if it is the fancy heritage spoke pattern or the regular, as long as it is a 16" spoke wheel that will fit my '75 swing arm.

I know, but the cost of a spoke set is way too much money. I'd rather find a whole wheel that fits. I missed one on ebay recently, it sold for 102 bucks.
