Hey guys, I recently picked up a 1977 XS500 (along with a 1983 Honda V45 Sabre) for $400 (yes, for both bikes) so I thought I'd stop in and say hi. I already posted the start of my cafe project in the cafe section, but I'll throw up a pic here for the heck of it.

Here's my project thread

Where I rescued them from

The Honda with the fairing on it...Blech!

And my first true love (of the XS variety), my 1979 XS400. Didn't exactly pull chicks in High school, but I had a friggin blast on that little bike. Mac 2-1 exhaust sounded so sweet.

That Honda has a little too much going on for my liking, though, 88 horsepower is tempting.

I like the XS500. I had a 1976 XS500C that I bought new in 76. It was a great bike, very smooth engine with the balancer.
