its been a week and ive got it hardtailed, shaved off useless brackets, made the front fender into a rear fender, made a sissy bar, made a plate holder with a model a light, started making wheel/chain adjusters, wet sanded my cases, slapped on some air filters, put a bike pedal on the kickstarter and powder coated it, got a free 5 3/4" headlight and powdercoated it and a bunch more random crap. the tank and bars you see are not the ones i'll be using. BTW... the harbor freight powdercoater kicks ass.

Nixon: Is this the powder coater of which you speak?

How do you bake on the coating? I think my wife might shoot me if I did it in her oven...

yep.thats the one. im using a tabletop toaster oven. i do have an old full size oven that im gonna put in a back room of my house. i'll place it near a window and put a fan in the window to suck the fumes out of the room. i plan on doing it this weekend so i'll let you know how it works for larger pieces.

Nixon the bike is looking good. Keep up the good work and keep us posted.
I have been thinking about setting up a powder coating oven in my garage as well. So lately I have been keeping my eyes open and I have seen them at rummage sales and used at home repair stores for $25 to $35. I think it will cost more for the 240 wire to run to the garage. But it would be pretty nice. The only thing on a motorcycle you wouldn't be able to powder would be the frame.

Sorry I'm the new guy, but if I may, I'd like to ask you a few questions.
What kind of handle bars do you have on there?
What kind of hardtail is that? Or did you make it yourself. I'm not a big fan of the "stretched" hardtail look, and yours seems perfect.
What do you mean by shaved forks?
Thanks for your help!
