Hi, I joined a while back and am just getting around to my intro. My name is Brent from Fort Worth and I recently got my second wind to work on my XS. There seems to be a lot of great people and info here. I'm looking forward to chatting. This is my first bike build, but I've been building hot rods and such pretty much my whole life.

y bike is a 77 that I have hard tailed. These are old mock up pics with braces tacked in to prevent the frame from moving. It's all torn down at the moment. I really like the old flat/board trackers. I'm in the process of building a quarter elliptic springer. I picked up this tank a while back, but have no idea what is is. Any help would be appreciated. Hopefully I did everything correctly as I'm a computer idiot. Enough for now.

The tank is definately right for the bike, I tend to think its an old Triumph tank because of the seam. The frame looks sweet. How much did you lengthen the wheel base? How far have you gotten on this since the post and what would you do different if anything?

Thanks. The frame is stock length. I finished welding it up a while back but it's kind of on hold till I drop a new motor in my 32. I'll build some bars for it next. I'm also trying to trade my wheels for some XS1's that a buddy of mine has. My frame is almost ready for paint but I haven't decided on colors yet. The motor will stay pretty much stock. I'll try to post some recent pics soon.
