If anyone is looking to build forward controls i got plans for a set that looks easy to build. I havent made a set from the plans yet but im going to within the next month hopefully. I was told that it would cost less than $100 to build them. Let me know if anyone wants a copy of them i will be glad to mail them out.

There has been a fair amount of talk about people building their own forward controls. If it would be possible to scan and post them, I'm sure several people would appreciate it. (of course, this assumes this would not violate any copyright laws! wink wink)

Thanks again

I could just mail them out to you i think that would be easiest. Email me your address. My email is k_schaunaman @ yahoo.com. I live in South Dakota so it might take a few days.

Hey guys just go over to Horton's Hardcore Customs on the web, he has posted an article to build forward controls, I would imagine the materials cost would be about $30.

I made a set for mine. Here's the link to my page that has a pic of them. It was really quite simple:
twinoak.altelco.net/~j...pper2.html

I can take some detail pictures if someone needs them...

Congrads on a job well done Clay! I love it , especially the low rider tank, thats cool! Did you have to do anything with the petcocks? or did you use the orig. harley ones , and did they clear everything? hope to get a few pics of my bobber project up soon.

Thanks- it was fun. I have a Pingel petcock on it- it just clears the choke lever, and seems to work fine. It only has a petcock on the left side, so that make it a bit easier. The funny thing- with the size of that tank and the flow of the Pingel, I could probably run a V-8...
