I went to install mine today on my VM36 carbs, which have the curved cable adjusters at the top.
There's no way this cable can be made to fit these carbs. The section of exposed cable between the carb and junction box is nowhere near long enough. At least an inch or two short of where it needs to be.
Am I missing something? I know the curved adjusters aren't that much longer if at all than the straight adjusters. If there were no adjuster on top of the carbs it might work.
Thoughts? I'm running with clipon bars, so the cable is a tad long anyhow, but I can get that end of it shortened.

I think 650Central sells a longer cable.

Tim, have you tried 650 garage to see what others might be running.

I'll check around - very confusing seeing as Mikes specifically identifies the VM36's when selling this cable. There's no way to make it work, that much I know.

Hm, it's most certainly the curved adjusters. As mine fit just fine, but they just go straight into the top of the bodies, no curved piece. Mine was actually a bit too long, had to space it a little. Can you run without the curved pieces?

When you say - straight into the top of the bodies - do you have anything threaded into the caps of the carbs? Would be great to see a picture of what you're running.
If the answer is to run with next to no cable adjuster on top of the carbs, then I can run without the curved pieces. The curve was just to get the cables pointed in the right direction and avoid a sharp bend.
You can see the curved units in this pic:

Hey there Tintin,
I have exactly the opposite problem that you are having..................would consider swapping my regular adjustors for your curved ones? I beleive we are both about 1 hour apart distance wise!
Thanks dave
