Some pictures of my tracker/cafe project. Purchased the bike in the spring last year.
Have redone the wheels, new tires, cleaned carbs and increased main and pilot jets, new front brake set up from mmm, rebuilt forks with new springs & cartridge emulators, new steering bearings, swingarm bushings, new 520 sprokets & x-ring chain, Pamco ignition, Emgo too LOUD reverse cone mufflers, Mikes headpipes and much other Mikes stuff.
Paint will come soon. Anxious to get it back on the road.
After purchased in spring 08
Cafe set up now
Tracker set up now
Thanks to everyone on this site for help and ideas.

I like the cafe look with the tank dents and cafe seat. But the tracker looks good too. Maybe you should get another XS and have them both.

You have done quite a bit of work there. It looks good.

Thanks boys,
Pumps, its coming along. It is a fun old bike to work on. Can't seem the time to dedicate good long blocks of time to. That balance thing ya know.
Cretin, I will be able to have both looks w/ the same bike. I have the tank mounts so each tank fits on the rubber bumpers by the triple and the same bolt post in the back. The seats are both mounted using the stock hinges on the left side. Gotta figure out my latch yet.
Tracker tank and seat base will be classic KR era yellow w/ black & white block stripes. Cafe will be black w/ some yellow accents/stipes.

The cafe seat comes from Mikes XS. The seat is made to work with the stock XS650 tank, and does so pretty well. I had to hog out the holed in the hinge that mounts to the seat to allow a bit of adjustment to mate up with the hinges on the frame.
To use with the XS750 tank I will need to modify the mounts. The 750 tank is longer so the seat needs to move back. My plan is to remove the cover and relocate the studs for the hinge portion that bolts to the seat forward on the seat pan. I will also need to move the bumper pad mounts to line up with the frame since I had to cut the fender hoop off.
