Has anyone tried those aluminum ugly plates that cover the frame joints in the rear of the bike from Omars Street Trackers ? I was wondering how they fit and look. A close up picture would be realy nice. I want to use them on a regular 78 650E

Here's a good pic of Omar's ugly plates with a 12 in. ruler in there for a sizing reference.

You could also try a local machine shop. if they have water jets or lasers they throw a ton of great material out daily, I know that we do where I work anyway.
