Just wondering
Is a SR 400 speedo & taco geared the same as the XS
Can they be used on the XS at all

Should be fine. I know the speedo is as long as you use the XS speedo drive mechanism on the front axle. The tach, unless I'm really going senile, is also usable. I think that all Japanese bikes used the same tach drive reduction.
Maybe someon else can confirm or correct the tach statement, but the speedo I know is right.
