Probably a good fork brace for 34mm forks, plenty around for 35mm!
Sump extension might be popular:

The sump extensions won't fit onto a Special as the side stand bracket fouls with them.

Hi Guys,
Well, dpm, I guess no one needs anything----much! It's not fair---all the bits I'd like to replace aren't on the bike, they're on the rider....
I'm afraid a machine shop won't help with that! (If only!!)
OK, seriously--that heat-sink cover for the alternator sounds great! I'd buy one of those......

Making the stater cover any thicker and putting fins on it could make for problems...............Every cover usually has had a scratch/gouge from the gear lever or boots and there is very little room as it is between the lever and cover and if fins were added they would foul on the toe of your boot.

skull, maybe, maybe not. What if I were running rear sets? Or forward controls?? One must think outside the box on custom parts, you know

Well I guess for now I'll just finish up my cafe tank mold, start designing some seats, and start playing with the idea of some exhaust systems. If anyone comes out with a nice seat design I would be willing to produce some of them. For the heat problem with stock charging systems I would either switch to a PMA or just drill a hole in the cover, tap it for a huge bolt(Maybe a oil drain plug) and wire the bolt, keep it out until it rains then just screw it in

How about a "relief area" in the fins to allow for space for your toe. I know it sounds awkward, but it could look cool if you did it right. Failing that, you may be able to make a vented cover that would allow heat to escape, but keep dirt and moisture out. I am sorry if it seems like I am pestering you,but I know overheated rotors are an issue on our beloved XS bikes. I have an extra motor,so I will be doing some experimenting...

DPM,another idea is a custom gauge bracket to allow use of a speedometer only. Not my bike pictured, but I like the concept.

I thought you were talking about quality looking aftermarket acceseries | some of the old front shoe type brakes had a slide open vent for dry weather and block it shut for the wet could do the same with a vent on the stator cover

Mine has been open for 65K ....(purchased bike at 10k with dead rotor).....rain and bike washing ....I never worried about it and have never had the first problem.......water won't hurt anything cause it drains out the bottom........now if the bike is ridden in the dirt as a scrambller that would be a different scenerio..........for a street bike as far as I can see closing it causes problems ....opening it doesn't.......
Temps in there open in the summer...130 degrees....closed 180+
ine is really wide open......as far as I am concerned this story is tested...

How about an adaptor so you can fit a standard 6306 bearing to the right side crankshaft!
