If I use a Hd type rear wheel, do I have to get a special sprocket? If so, where can I get something like this? Thanks for any help. Love all the info on the site.

If you use a wheel that won't accept a small enough rear sprocket like down to 30 or less then you will never be able to gear it high for the highway....and may end up with a useless wheel after all the fuss....that would be the first thing I would look at before thinking about any other rear wheel............

sprocket pitch is 530 or a #50 in Martin and industrial sprockets in case you need to have the hole cut by a machinist and then heat quenched to harden ..................

Sprocket Specialties. They'll make you anything you want and for pretty reasonable. I'll be doing the same when I get my rear HD hub.
