I think I may have just turn signal lever that fits in the housing. Is that what you are looking for??

Reno I did some checking. The same switch was used on several bikes. All these Yamaha bikes.
XS/TX 650's 70-73
DS6B 69-70
R3 69
CS5 72
CS7 72
R5 70
R5B 71
R5C 72
Hope this helps.

With that list you can shop ebay or search the salvage yards.

Thanx, it took me abit, but yeah left hand switch comes up with a few!
Now my only question is, will a universal switch like the k&s street switch,
(K&S Technologies [12-0030] Universal Street & Cruiser Motorcycle Handle Bar Turn Signal Switch)
Work on a 1971 xs1b, I would hate to have a $70 peice to hang in the garage. And knightrider, if you have that one please hit me up!

There are others. At ebay motors, motorcycle parts, put Yamaha left switch in the search box. At the side is a place where you can enter the make, model an year. Just enter Yamaha, no model, years 1969-73.
