I mainly wrapped but the pipes for looks and to make them a little cooler to the touch after riding; however, it does serve some performance benefits. Here is a good link explaining it

My 78 mags are not stamped "tubeless" so I am running tubes. It is always safe to run a tube or no tube in a tubeless rim, but never should you not run a tube in tubed rim.

Indeed.. I have my pipes wrapped to the foot pegs and I just enjoy the look more then anything. I had 50ft of 2" and was able to do both with plenty leftover. |
