well i just got a call from the machine shop.. the barrel is ready. not bad.. 2 day turn around.. total price was 76.00 for a bore and hone. i'm thinking i'm going with the SHELL #1 GRIND. i heard it ... |

I actually have a good amount of porting experience from my drag racing days. I cleaned up what the PO jacked up. I removed the casting flaws, port-matched the intake and putting a really smooth fins ... |

well the jug is now at the machine shop. got a call today and I was told to order 2nd O/S pistons. they'll be there tommorow. head has been ported and valves have been lapped.

the base gasket is very thin compared to the head gasket. I don't think adding 1 would really do anything. I just pulled the head on my motor and the jug got lifted so I f-it and just pulled it off. ... |

for carbon removal go to NAPA and get a can of SEA FOAM. it will dissolve the carbon to nothing... super great stuff and it's very cheap. |

well I use to go to my local ACE that has a huge chrome supply. however the 10 x1.25 is not available there. they do carry 10x 1.50 in the chrome acorn. |

I want to replace all the acorn nuts on the XS. I can't seem to source any 10x 1.25 acorn nuts in chrome. I know MIKESXS has them, but i'm looking for a better quality fastener. can anyone point me in ... |

go to a better ACE. my local ACE has everything to include a full chrome section. the chrome can get pricey. On my bobber build I spent like 200$ on chrome and SS fastners. |

I installed SS button head bolts from ace hardware.. It looks very clean. I applied blue threadlocker since I didn't use the locking tabs. . |
